The E-Go CarbonLite is a lightweight folding electric bike designed for riders who want quality materials, natural motor assistance, and genuine portability. Weighing just 14kg including the battery, mudguards, and integrated lights, it stands among the lighter fully equipped folding e-bikes available, making it suitable for commuting, public transport, apartment living, and everyday urban riding.

Built using carbon fibre throughout the frame, forks, handlebars, stem, saddle, and wheels, the CarbonLite delivers strength while keeping overall weight low. The result is a bike that feels agile on the road and easy to carry when folded.

At the centre of the bike is a Star Union mid-drive motor producing 75Nm of torque. Unlike hub-driven alternatives, the mid-drive design delivers power through the drivetrain for a more balanced and natural riding experience. Combined with a torque sensor, assistance responds directly to your pedalling effort, making hills easier while maintaining a smooth, intuitive feel.

The carbon fibre belt drive replaces a traditional chain, offering quiet operation and minimal maintenance. There's no chain lubrication, no greasy marks, and less wear over time. Paired with the lightweight carbon construction, it creates a riding experience that is both refined and practical.

Hydraulic disc brakes provide confident stopping power in a variety of conditions, while integrated front and rear lights improve visibility for year-round riding. The Samsung seat-post battery maintains the bike's clean appearance, and the integrated TFT display keeps essential ride information clearly visible without cluttering the handlebars.

For riders seeking a folding e-bike that combines considered engineering, lightweight design, and everyday practicality, the E-Go CarbonLite is a distinctive option.

Electric Bikes (EAPC)

Most electric bikes are classified as Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycles (EAPCs) and are legal to use on UK roads if they:

• Have a maximum motor power of 250W
• Do not assist beyond 15.5 mph (25 km/h)
• Require pedalling for motor assistance

EAPCs can be ridden without a licence, tax, or insurance, and are treated the same as regular bicycles.
