The Engwe M20 is a powerful fat tyre electric bike designed for riders who want to venture beyond smooth roads and explore more challenging terrain. With its distinctive motorcycle-inspired frame, wide 20 × 4.0" tyres, and robust construction, the M20 is built to inspire confidence on gravel tracks, forest trails, and uneven off-road routes.
Its brushless rear hub motor delivers 55Nm of torque, providing strong assistance when tackling inclines, loose surfaces, and mixed terrain. Combined with the extra grip and stability offered by the fat tyres, the M20 is well suited to adventure riding where comfort and control are essential.
One of the standout features is its dual-battery capability. Riders can choose a single 48V 13Ah battery setup or upgrade to a dual-battery configuration, significantly increasing overall capacity for longer rides and extended adventures away from charging points.
Additional features including Shimano 7-speed gearing, mechanical disc brakes, an LCD display, and a durable aluminium alloy frame help make the M20 a capable and versatile off-road machine for riders seeking freedom beyond the tarmac.

Electric Bikes (EAPC)
Most electric bikes are classified as Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycles (EAPCs) and are legal to use on UK roads if they:
- Have a maximum motor power of 250W
- Do not assist beyond 15.5 mph (25 km/h)
- Require pedalling for motor assistance
EAPCs can be ridden without a licence, tax, or insurance, and are treated the same as regular bicycles.
Electric Scooters
Privately owned e-scooters are currently not legal to use on public roads, pavements, or cycle lanes in the UK.
They may only be used:
- On private land
- With the landowner’s permission
