Weighing just 16.9kg without the battery and featuring Engwe's triple-folding frame design, the Zip folds down into a compact package that is easy to transport and store. The 250W rear hub motor works alongside a responsive torque sensor to deliver smooth, natural assistance, while the Shimano 7-speed drivetrain provides flexibility for varying terrain and gradients.
Powered by a removable 36V 10Ah battery using LG cells, the Zip offers a real-world range of up to 120km on the lowest assist setting. The battery also supports USB-C PD 3.0 charging and discharging, allowing it to double as a power bank for compatible devices.

Most electric bikes are classified as Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycles (EAPCs) and are legal to use on UK roads if they:
- Have a maximum motor power of 250W
- Do not assist beyond 15.5 mph (25 km/h)
- Require pedalling for motor assistance
EAPCs can be ridden without a licence, tax, or insurance, and are treated the same as regular bicycles.
