The Engwe Zip is a lightweight folding electric bike designed for commuters who need genuine portability without sacrificing everyday practicality. Unlike many folding e-bikes that remain bulky and awkward to carry, the Zip has been engineered around convenience, making it suitable for train journeys, office storage, apartment living, and mixed-mode commuting.
Weighing just 16.9kg without the battery and featuring Engwe's triple-folding frame design, the Zip folds down into a compact package that is easy to transport and store. The 250W rear hub motor works alongside a responsive torque sensor to deliver smooth, natural assistance, while the Shimano 7-speed drivetrain provides flexibility for varying terrain and gradients.
Powered by a removable 36V 10Ah battery using LG cells, the Zip offers a real-world range of up to 120km on the lowest assist setting. The battery also supports USB-C PD 3.0 charging and discharging, allowing it to double as a power bank for compatible devices.
With hydraulic disc brakes, integrated lighting, a suspension seatpost, and practical commuter-focused features throughout, the Engwe Zip is built for riders who need a folding e-bike that is easy to live with every day.

Electric Bikes (EAPC)
Most electric bikes are classified as Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycles (EAPCs) and are legal to use on UK roads if they:
- Have a maximum motor power of 250W
- Do not assist beyond 15.5 mph (25 km/h)
- Require pedalling for motor assistance
EAPCs can be ridden without a licence, tax, or insurance, and are treated the same as regular bicycles.
Important
It is the customer's responsibility to ensure any e-bike is used in accordance with UK laws and regulations. If you are unsure, please contact us before purchasing.
