DESCRIPTION
The Dawes Spire 2.0 Cues Crossbar is an electric hybrid bike designed for riders who want long-range performance, upgraded components and a more traditional riding position. Combining a lightweight aluminium frame with a Samsung battery and Shimano components, it's equally suited to commuting, fitness rides and longer weekend adventures.
The 6061 aluminium crossbar frame delivers confident handling and a sporty riding position while maintaining comfort for longer rides. Internal cable routing gives the bike a clean, modern appearance while helping to protect cables from the elements.
Power comes from a Bafang 250W rear hub motor producing 32Nm of torque, delivering pedal assistance up to the UK legal limit of 15.5mph (25km/h). The removable 540Wh Samsung battery provides up to 60 miles (97km) of range, reducing charging frequency and making the bike suitable for longer journeys. The battery locks securely into the frame and can be removed for convenient charging indoors.
The Shimano Cues 9-speed drivetrain offers a wide gear range and consistent shifting, helping riders tackle hills and varying terrain with confidence. Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes provide consistent braking across varied weather conditions, while the suspension fork with 70mm travel and hydraulic lockout improves comfort on rough roads and cycle paths.
Practical features include integrated front and rear LED lights, puncture-protected Kenda tyres with reflective sidewalls, full-length mudguards, a rear pannier rack, adjustable kickstand and a comfortable Selle Royal Freeway saddle. Built to handle everyday riding, the Spire 2.0 Cues Crossbar is a versatile electric hybrid bike that offers value and capability.

LEGAL GUIDE
Electric Bikes (EAPC)
Most electric bikes are classified as Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycles (EAPCs) and are legal to use on UK roads if they:
- Have a maximum motor power of 250W
- Do not assist beyond 15.5 mph (25 km/h)
- Require pedalling for motor assistance
EAPCs can be ridden without a licence, tax, or insurance, and are treated the same as regular bicycles.
