The EZEGO Commute EX Gents is a versatile hybrid electric bike built for riders who want a comfortable, dependable, and practical e-bike for both daily commuting and leisure riding. Combining a lightweight alloy frame, quality Shimano gearing, puncture-protected tyres, and a removable LG battery, it's equally at home on city streets, cycle paths, and countryside routes.
Powered by a 250W rear hub brushless motor producing 45Nm of torque, the Commute EX provides smooth assistance up to the UK legal limit of 15.5mph (25km/h). Five pedal assist levels allow you to choose how much support you want, while walk assist makes pushing the bike effortless when needed.
The removable 460Wh LG battery provides up to 45 miles (60km) of assisted riding on a single charge. Its removable design allows convenient charging at home, at work, or wherever suits you best.
The Shimano Acera 8-speed drivetrain offers a wide range of gears for climbing hills and maintaining comfortable cadence on flatter routes. Promax mechanical disc brakes provide dependable stopping performance in all conditions, while Kenda Kwick Journey puncture-resistant tyres help minimise interruptions caused by punctures.
Complete with alloy mudguards, rear pannier rack, comfortable Velo saddle, and upright riding position, the Commute EX Gents is a practical all-round electric bike designed for everyday use.

Electric Bikes (EAPC)
Most electric bikes are classified as Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycles (EAPCs) and are legal to use on UK roads if they:
- Have a maximum motor power of 250W
- Do not assist beyond 15.5 mph (25 km/h)
- Require pedalling for motor assistance
EAPCs can be ridden without a licence, tax, or insurance, and are treated the same as regular bicycles.
Electric Scooters
Privately owned e-scooters are currently not legal to use on public roads, pavements, or cycle lanes in the UK.
They may only be used:
- On private land
- With the landowner’s permission
