At the heart of the Herlev Auto is an Ananda 250W hub motor producing 48Nm of torque, paired with an advanced torque sensor that responds instantly to your pedalling input. The result is smooth, natural assistance that feels intuitive whether you're accelerating away from traffic lights, cruising through town, or tackling gentle inclines.
What sets the Herlev Auto apart is its integrated Ananda automatic 3-speed transmission. Working alongside the bike's intelligent CAN control system, the drivetrain automatically selects the most appropriate gear based on your speed and riding conditions. There's no need to think about shifting gears – the bike does it for you, creating a seamless riding experience.
The Gates carbon belt drive replaces a traditional chain, delivering whisper-quiet operation and significantly reduced maintenance. No chain lubrication, less cleaning, and long service life make it an excellent choice for everyday commuters and utility riders.
Power comes from a removable Samsung 48V 14Ah battery providing up to 80km of assisted range. Hydraulic disc brakes, front suspension, puncture-resistant tyres, integrated lighting, and a MIK-compatible rear carrier system complete a practical package designed for daily transport, shopping trips, commuting, and leisure riding.

Electric Bikes (EAPC)
Most electric bikes are classified as Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycles (EAPCs) and are legal to use on UK roads if they:
- Have a maximum motor power of 250W
- Do not assist beyond 15.5 mph (25 km/h)
- Require pedalling for motor assistance
EAPCs can be ridden without a licence, tax, or insurance, and are treated the same as regular bicycles.
Electric Scooters
Privately owned e-scooters are currently not legal to use on public roads, pavements, or cycle lanes in the UK.
They may only be used:

- With the landowner’s permission
