Powered by an Ananda 250W hub motor delivering 50Nm of torque, the Virum Auto provides smooth and responsive assistance up to the UK legal limit of 15.5mph (25km/h). The advanced torque sensor measures your pedalling effort and adjusts motor support naturally, creating a ride feel that is intuitive and efficient.
A standout feature is the Ananda automatic 3-speed transmission. Working with the integrated CAN control system, the bike automatically selects the optimal gear based on your speed and riding conditions, eliminating the need for manual gear changes and allowing you to focus on the road ahead.
The Gates carbon belt drive offers quiet operation and exceptionally low maintenance compared to a traditional chain. Combined with hydraulic disc brakes, puncture-resistant tyres, integrated lighting, and a comfortable Selle Royal saddle, the Virum Auto is built for dependable everyday use.
Its removable Samsung 36V 10Ah seat-post battery provides up to 60km of assisted range, while the lightweight 18kg folding design makes it easy to store at home, take on public transport, or transport in a car. Electric Bikes (EAPC)
Most electric bikes are classified as Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycles (EAPCs) and are legal to use on UK roads if they:
- Have a maximum motor power of 250W
- Do not assist beyond 15.5 mph (25 km/h)
- Require pedalling for motor assistance
EAPCs can be ridden without a licence, tax, or insurance, and are treated the same as regular bicycles.
Electric Scooters
Privately owned e-scooters are currently not legal to use on public roads, pavements, or cycle lanes in the UK.
They may only be used:
- On private land
- With the landowner’s permission
