The removable Samsung 36V 10Ah seat-post battery offers up to 60km of assisted range, providing plenty of capacity for daily journeys without constant charging. Electric Bikes (EAPC)
Most electric bikes are classified as Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycles (EAPCs) and are legal to use on UK roads if they:
- Have a maximum motor power of 250W
- Do not assist beyond 15.5 mph (25 km/h)
- Require pedalling for motor assistance
EAPCs can be ridden without a licence, tax, or insurance, and are treated the same as regular bicycles.
Electric Scooters
Privately owned e-scooters are currently not legal to use on public roads, pavements, or cycle lanes in the UK.
They may only be used:
- On private land
- With the landowner’s permission
