Powered by a 250W XF Smart rear hub motor, the U1 delivers pedal assistance while remaining compliant with UK road regulations. The large 540Wh LG battery provides a range of over 50 miles (80km) on a single charge, helping riders travel further with confidence and less effort.

Suntour NEX hydraulic suspension forks help absorb bumps and uneven surfaces, while wide puncture-resistant Maxxis tyres improve stability and ride quality on roads, cycle paths, and light trails. Most electric bikes are classified as Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycles (EAPCs) and are legal to use on UK roads if they:
- Have a maximum motor power of 250W
- Do not assist beyond 15.5 mph (25 km/h)
- Require pedalling for motor assistance
EAPCs can be ridden without a licence, tax, or insurance, and are treated the same as regular bicycles.
